Erica Fink, PT

Erica is a licensed physical therapist, and has been practicing outpatient physical therapy since 2010. She treats patients prior to and after orthopedic surgeries, non-operative orthopedic conditions, and balance training for fall prevention. She focuses her treatments on function, strengthening and mobility exercises to work towards a goal of independence at home and a return to prior level of function. She has been trained in dry needling and uses this technique to assist with pain management for both acute and chronic conditions. Along with drying needling, Erica has been trained by the McKenzie instate for mechanical diagnosis and treatment of the lumbar spine, cervical spine, thoracic spine, and advanced lumbar spine and extremities.

Laurie Clark-Roath, PTA

Laurie is a licensed physical therapist assistant who has been practicing in outpatient physical therapy since 2014. She is skilled in manual therapy techniques with clinical special interests which include the treatment of lymphedema, spine SI dysfunction, and pre and post-op orthopedics. In addition, Laurie is a part time adjunct faculty instructor at Lorain County Community college teaching clinical lab skills to PTA student since 2015.

Lisa Swboni, PT

Lisa has 20 years of clinical experience treating patients from teens to geriatrics for various orthopedic conditions including sports related injuries, total joint replacements, low back pain, SI (sacroiliac joint) dysfunction, and balance deficits. Lisa has specialized training in muscle energy techniques for the spine and sacroiliac joint to correct alignment and reduce pain. She combines manual therapy techniques, modalities, and therapeutic exercise in order to reduce pain and correct muscle imbalances. Lisa is focused on patient education so that patients may learn how to self-manage their symptoms once treatment is completed.

Bob Shumar, PTA

After completing my education, in 2003 I relocated to the Cleveland area from Southwestern Pennsylvania. I enjoy treating issues of the spine, as well as post operative orthopedic patients. I enjoy doing soft tissue manual work with patients to help alleviate their pain and dysfunction. I am married and have three wonderful children.

Jonathan Paine, PT

Jonathan is a licensed physical therapist with over 20 years experience treating patients with orthopedic and spine injuries. He has special interests in post-surgical knee rehabilitation as well as ACL injury prevention, and returning athletes back to sports.

Kristen Kistner, PT

Kristen is a licensed physical therapist specializing in the treatment of various diagnoses including orthopedic conditions, joint replacements, sports medicine and pelvic floor dysfunction. Kristen utilizes manual therapy techniques and education to facilitate in the treatment of these patients. Kristen has been trained through Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute and is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association.

Alec Kiplinger, PTA

Alec is a Physical Therapist Assistant, and graduated from Cuyahoga Community College. Through his employment at Southwest, he has worked in multiple settings such as Acute Rehabilitation, Inpatient Rehabilitation and Cardiac Rehabilitation with his main focus in Outpatient Rehabilitation. Alec strives to challenge his patients with tailored therapeutic exercises to promote function and independence appropriate for each individual’s plan of care and personal goals.
